Valve selection
Stainless steel flange bottom valve Japanese standard JIS10K
The function of JIS flange bottom valve
The DH42H flange bottom valve is mainly used at the inlet of the pump suction pipeline to reduce medium backflow after pump shutdown through a one-way closing structure, and to reduce the risk of large debris entering the suction pipeline through an inlet filtering structure.
Material and pressure rating
DH42H offers options for SCPH2 cast steel and SCS13, SCS14 stainless steel materials. When selecting, the contact materials of the valve body, seal, and filter should be checked separately, and the corresponding configuration should be selected based on the medium, design temperature, and pipeline flange. JIS10K and JIS20K are of different grades and cannot be directly interchanged based solely on the same diameter.
Installation and selection
Bottom valves are usually used at the suction end of pumps, and actual installation requires confirmation of the flow direction of the medium, suction height, pipe diameter, filtration structure, and maintenance space. The aperture, material, and disassembly method of the filter screen shall be subject to the actual supply structure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the bottom valve the same as a regular check valve?
The functions include preventing backflow, but the bottom valve is usually installed at the suction end with a filtering structure, which is different from the specific structure of a regular pipeline check valve.
What valve body materials are available for DH42H bottom valve?
The valve body materials include SCPH2 cast steel and SCS13, SCS14 stainless steel. The stainless steel valve body configuration should be selected from SCS13 and SCS14 materials, and the materials of the filter screen and seal should be checked at the same time; The corrosion resistance of all liquid receiving parts cannot be judged solely based on the valve body grade.
How to choose the filter aperture of DH42H bottom valve?
The aperture of the filter should match the size of the debris to be intercepted and the particle size allowed by the pump, while also considering the effective flow area and suction resistance. Excessive aperture may release debris, while insufficient aperture or clogged filter screen may increase inhalation loss; The actual aperture, opening area, and filter material should be included in the ordering requirements.
