Product Introduction

H44H-16C swing check valve

H44H-16C drives the valve disc to rotate around the hinge with medium flow. It opens when flowing forward and tends to close when the flow rate decreases or there is a reverse pressure difference, used to reduce medium backflow. The body is a passive check structure, which does not require an electric actuator and cannot be used as an electric valve with remote command switch.

Series parameters and ordering scope

The following parameters are series selection references supported by publicly available information on similar products, used to propose customized solutions, and do not represent that all dimensions, pressures, and material combinations are in stock or have been validated for this project; Actual supply shall be calculated based on working conditions, and the drawings and technical documents of the order shall be confirmed and implemented.

Installation direction and backflow risk

This page mainly focuses on the selection of horizontal pipelines. During installation, keep the flow arrow consistent with the medium, and confirm the position of the valve disc shaft and valve cover according to the drawing. It is not allowed to invert arbitrarily, and the structural applicability of the riser or inclined pipeline should be confirmed separately. When there is a risk of rapid pump shutdown, water hammer, or long-distance backflow at the pump outlet, the transient operating conditions of the system should be calculated, and ordinary rotary check valves should not be equated with slow closing or non impact check valves.

Materials, Flow and Maintenance

When selecting, provide the medium, temperature, flow range, pressure, pipeline layout, and start stop frequency, and verify the valve seat sealing pair, minimum stable flow rate, and fully open space. At low flow rates, the valve disc may oscillate repeatedly, and particles may get stuck or damage the seal. Before checking the sealing of hinges, pin shafts, valve seats, and valve covers, they should be isolated, depressurized, and any residual media drained.

Common problems in selection and procurement

Does installing H44H-16C at the pump outlet prevent water hammer when the pump is stopped?

I cannot guarantee. Water hammer is also affected by pipeline length, flow velocity, pump shutdown process, and valve disc closure characteristics, and transient operating conditions should be accounted for; When slow closing or no impact function is required, a separate structure should be selected.

Can horizontal rotary check valves be installed on vertical pipes?

Cannot change direction without confirmation. Please provide the flow direction of the medium, the up and down direction of the vertical pipe, and the installation diagram, and determine whether it is applicable based on the specific valve disc structure and closing conditions.

Is it enough to select a check valve of the same diameter according to the pipe diameter when the flow rate of the water pump is very small?

It is also necessary to verify whether the valve disc can open stably and allow pressure drop under low load. Long term low flow may cause valve disc oscillation, and flow range and pipeline data should be provided for matching.
