Product Introduction

Q961F-16P electric welded ball valve

Q961F-16P adopts welded connection, driven by an electric actuator with angular travel to rotate the sphere and achieve pipeline opening and closing. This is not an internal threaded ball valve. When ordering or replacing, the pipe material, wall thickness, and assembly dimensions should be checked according to the welding end drawing, and the installation conditions of threaded interfaces cannot be used.

Connection end and valve body structure

Welding connection does not mean that all products use the same groove or socket structure. The welding or socket welding, valve body splitting method, structural length, and detachable internal parts scheme should be clarified during the technical confirmation stage. When the original pipeline is fixed, cutting, alignment, welding, and subsequent maintenance space should also be considered.

Caliber, pressure and material

The series page lists the configuration range of DN15-DN50 and PN16/PN25. Among them, 16 of Q961F-16P corresponds to the selection of PN16, while PN25 is a separately confirmed pressure configuration and cannot be mixed with the same nameplate. CF8 and CF8M are different options for casting stainless steel materials; The actual valve body, sphere, valve stem, and valve seat should be listed item by item in the order, and CF8M should not be directly equated with low-carbon 316L requirements.

electric actuator selection and on-site welding

After providing the working medium, temperature, maximum pressure difference, operating frequency, power supply, and feedback requirements, calculate the electric actuator torque. The switch type and regulating type should be confirmed separately. The welding process must take into account the heat-resistant boundaries of the valve seat and packing, and follow the manufacturer's welding installation instructions. Welding heat, spatter, or slag should not damage the internal components, nor should the valve bear the forced alignment load of the pipeline.

Debugging and maintenance

After installation, complete the required weld inspection, cleaning, and system testing, and then verify the valve position direction, mechanical limit, and in place feedback. When it is found that the seal is not tightly closed, check for debris, limit and seal damage, and do not rely on continuously increasing the electrical torque for handling. Isolate the medium, release residual voltage, and lock the power supply before maintenance.

Common problems in selection and procurement

Can Q961F-16P replace the existing internal thread ball valve?

Cannot be directly replaced with the same caliber. It is a welded connection that requires confirmation of the welding end, pipe wall thickness, surface distance, and construction conditions; The original threaded pipe section may need to be redesigned for connection.

How to avoid burning out the soft seal when welding onto the pipeline?

When placing an order, first confirm the valve body disassembly method, valve seat material, and allowable welding process, and then control the heat input and protect the internal components according to the manufacturer's installation instructions. Do not weld on pipelines with pressure, residual flammable media, or incomplete isolation, and do not use unconfirmed uniform welding steps as a substitute for process qualification.

Do you need 4–20mA to adjust the opening degree? Is the ordinary electric switch type sufficient?

Not enough. It should be confirmed whether the regulating electric actuator, input and output signals, working mode, and flow channel are suitable for continuous regulation; Simply connecting analog signals cannot prove that ordinary switch ball valves have the required flow characteristics and lifespan.
