Valve selection
Stainless steel American standard swing check valve ANSI Class150
Class150 stainless steel swing check valve
H44W-150LB-P Class150 American standard swing check valve adopts flange connection and swing valve disc structure. When the medium flows forward, the valve disc opens, and when there is a trend of reverse flow, the valve disc closes to limit the backflow of the medium.
Class150 is not equal to 150PSI
Class 150 is an American standard pressure rating name and cannot be interpreted as "design pressure 150PSI" or "maximum working pressure 150PSI". The actual pressure and temperature ratings need to be confirmed based on the material composition, design temperature, and specific standards adopted.
CF8 and CF8M material selection
This swing check valve offers CF8 and CF8M cast stainless steel valve body options. CF8 belongs to chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel casting materials, while CF8M is chromium nickel austenitic stainless steel casting materials containing molybdenum. When selecting, the materials of the valve body, valve disc, and sealing pair should be checked separately, and the selection should be based on the composition, concentration, temperature, and corrosion conditions of the medium. CF8M and low-carbon casting grade CF3M cannot be mixed, nor can they be recognized as meeting the low-carbon requirements of 316L solely based on the CF8M grade.
How to confirm American standard flanges?
When selecting, the Class grade, caliber, flange standard, sealing surface, structural length, and matching flange of the pipeline should be confirmed. Products of different grades cannot be directly replaced based solely on "American standard" or nominal size.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can Class150 only be used up to 150PSI?
No. Class 150 is a grade name, and the actual allowable pressure depends on the material, design temperature, and the pressure temperature rating specified in the standard.
What is the main material difference between CF8 and CF8M?
Both are cast austenitic stainless steels, with CF8M improving its ability to resist localized corrosion under appropriate conditions through the design of molybdenum containing alloys. But this does not mean that it is applicable to all acid or seawater conditions, and the medium concentration, temperature, and material compatibility still need to be checked. CF8M is not equivalent to the low-carbon grade CF3M; When there are low-carbon requirements, material standards, chemical composition, and material certification should be checked.
Can Class150 be directly replaced with PN grade valves?
It cannot be directly converted by numbers. The pressure and temperature ratings, flange dimensions, structural length, and the standard system used for the project should be checked.
